João Paulo Melo - Industrial Designer - Career

Industrial designer graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of São Paulo in 2006. During this period, I collaborated with companies involved in automotive and nautical projects.

In 2008, I embarked on my journey at the Fiat Design Center in Brazil, the only studio outside of Italy. My focus was on visualization design.

In 2013, seeking fresh challenges, I seized the opportunity to relocate to the south of Brazil, where I joined Marcopolo S/A, one of the world's largest bus manufacturing groups, tasked with creating and developing new products.

After an enriching 8-year tenure, I transitioned back to automotive design with the Renault team. Although my stint lasted only a few months, it was pivotal. Subsequently, I was invited to participate in Arrow, a mobility startup, where I lead the creation of a new 100% electric vehicle. Presently, I hold the role of company leader, overseeing product design and marketing.

In addition to my responsibilities at Arrow, I offer consultancy services in product design. I am also the designer behind the new StockCar cars, the premier category of Brazilian motorsport. Furthermore, I am spearheading a new venture in recreational vehicles, SAV Motors do Brasil and DuoExo project.
